CALL FOR WORKSHOP PROPOSALS---Download form
Dear TRIO Colleagues:
On behalf of the Workshop Committee, I happily invite you to submit a proposal to conduct a workshop for our upcoming Annual Professional Development Seminar (PDS). To be held in the beautiful city of Monterey/
Seaside, this year’s event is again special and unique as it is a collaborative effort between the NorCal and Nevada chapters.
I encourage you to partake into an active role as a presenter and to share your wealth of knowledge, skills and experiences for the benefit of our TRIO family and educational equality partners. Please develop your proposal with the theme of “Stewardship” with emphasis on strategies on planning, partnering and managing for long-term sustainability of our educational programs. The selection committee will strive to organize and present a variety of workshops that will represent the different TRIO programs. We want to ensure that all PDS attendees will be equipped with valuable tools and resources applicable for their respective programs.
With regrets, please note the following limitations:
- Honorariums or reimbursements for travel related expenses cannot be offered.
- Use of personal/office A/V equipment (e.g. laptops, LCD projectors, screens) for PowerPoint presentations.
I apologize for the inconveniences that may result from the above limitations.
Now, What We All Want To Know........
· Length of Time for Presentations: total of 70 minutes = 60 minutes for presentation time and 10 minutes for a Q/A period and dissemination of evaluation forms;
· Bring a minimum amount of hard copies of your workshop materials for distribution
· Deadline to submit: Friday, August 28, 2009 by 5 p.m.
