Our Keynote Speaker this year will be Simon Silva, a well known artist and writer.  You can see his work here:  www.simonsilva.com  and  you can listen to excerpts of presentations here:  http://www.latinospeakers.com/speaker_simon_silva.php.  He will be presenting at the Annual CABE (California Association for Bilingual Education) Conference the day before he speaks to WESTOP.  Silva is very familiar with TRiO and Upward Bound in particular.  I believe he will speak to the heart of the association because he understand who we are and what we do.

Reminder: The Early Bird deadline for Conference registration is 12/15/2008.  If you have not registered but intended to do so with the early bird rate, remember, your payment must be in receipt by 12/15 to WESTOP.
