Strategic Planning Committee

January Board Meeting

Committee Function:  This committee shall be responsible for developing the 2008-2013 Strategic Plan.

Committee Members: WESTOP Board of Directors and Service Council, D. Matthew Benney, Jose Martinez-Saldana, Brian Aguilar, Rafael Topete

Committee Update:

• Timeline for development of plan is necessary. 
• Goal will be to have draft of plan for review by April 2008.
• Areas of preliminary focus will be based on SWOT analysis (state leadership development, advocacy and resource development) from December COE board meeting and January WESTOP Board of Directors meeting.

Recommendations:

• Priority has to be to the completion of the mission and vision statement as these will drive the focal points of the strategic plan.
