Presentation from Drew Yancy Jr. with DAV (Disabled American Veterans) – Regarding Trio Day Celebration Community Service Project

Papers passed out on Community Service Projects
• Needs help with the Community Service Project
• Raffle
• 2 Entries for $1.00
• Post Winners to WebSite
• Drew will deliver prizes
• Some of the prizes include : collectable knives, swords, camping utilities set, sprit of America (Ford) and Spa Day
Still photography for the event will be a (DAV) volunteer

Where does the money go?
• They set up a saving account for Upward Bound Trio Day Event
• The money residual from the fundraiser/community service project will go to WESTOP account
Drew Yancy JR needs to know ASAP who will be involved

• Bush is to sign next week
• Administration does not like it
• Another study 2010
• Can’t over recruit

5 year Grants- 2 University of Nevada, Reno Grants are 5 year – 2 UB grants are not:
• All will become 5 year grants
• Advantage extra year of funding
• SSS could write for branch campus
• Could write for Redfield Branch??

Encouraged to visit Congress-(Due to Senator Reid)
• Reach out to congress to thank them
• All NEVADA democrats and republicans voted YES on HEA
