Brief Committee Description:  The Fiscal Affairs Committee is responsible for reviewing all budgets and subsequent revisions, contract agreements and forwarding recommendations to the Board.

Committee Assignments: Committee assignments as described in the committee description are continuous, review and revise the Fiscal and Accounting Policies of the Association, create procedure for disbursement of scholarships from WESTOP, create policy/procedure regarding C-vent. 

Committee Updates:

  1. Ms. Joy Brittain submitted a request to purchase insurance for the Association, which would provide coverage in Arizona, California, Hawaii and Nevada. 
    1. FAC recommended the WESTOP Board of Directors (BOD) approve the request with the first $3000 coming out of the approved WESTOP budget and the remaining amount from the reserve.
    2. The recommendation was forwarded to the BOD on Monday, October 30, 2006.

Action Items:

  1. The Arizona Chapter received the COE State Initiatives Grant in the amount of $1000 on the condition that the Chapter matches the funds.  Arizona is requesting $800 be moved from the TRIO Luncheon to the Education and Legislation Committee budget.
