Chapter Description:  The purpose of the Chapters is to bring together WESTOP Members on a geographical basis to articulate and act upon issues and concerns of their Membership within the purpose, objectives, and functions of WESTOP as expressed in Article 11, Sections 2.1 and 2.2 (Article 111, Section 3.2).

Chapter Updates:

1.  Last chapter meeting was held on October 25, 2006 via polycom; however due to 
     severe technical difficulties on the part of STAN Networking Systems, I was not able to
     communicate with anyone other than members from the Hawaiian Islands.

  1. A suggestion was made to conduct some of our business via email and to use e-voting procedures due to our on going situation with communication via satellite.
  2. PDS Committee decided on holding the PDS in American Samoa; however, confirmation from the university is still pending.
  3. Tentative dates for PDS: April 16-18th.
  4. Departing HNL on Sunday April 15 at 5:05PM; arriving in Pago Pago at 9:35PM.
  5. Departing Pago Pago on Thursday April 19th at 11:20pm; arriving in HNL at 5:35AM Friday.
  6. Current rate on Hawaiian Air is $817.50 (tax included).
  7. PDS committee is searching for a keynote speaker.
  8. Registration fees are set at $200 off-site and $275 on-site.
  9. Accommodations suggested: Clarion Tradewinds.

      2.  Next chapter meeting will be held on December 13th, 2006.
