Professional Development Committee

Description: The Professional Development Committee shall provide
training and activities to foster the growth and development of the
membership and Board.

Committee Assignments:

  1. Plan and implement the second professional event that focuses on technology for members at the chapter and regional level.
  2. Research the professional development needs of the WESTOP membership.

Committee Updates:
1.   Collaborate with Caren Fernandez, Technology Committee in the planning  a Professional Development Training  in conjunction with the University of Washington Training in La Jolla, CA, January 8-9, 2007,
(evening sessions).

2. Common interest of the survey conducted by Damien Pena, former PD chairperson included: Technology, Best Practices, Assessment, Curriculum, and student motivation.  Committee members will be available to assist with Pre-conference and Workshop committee chairpersons for the WESTOP Annual Conference and /or Chapter Professional Development Seminars to develop workshop strands.
